Sports fans may know that baseball’s hall of fame is in Cooperstown, New York, the football hall of fame is in Canton, Ohio and even the basketball hall of fame is in Springfield. Massachusetts. Outside of sports, there are plenty of other halls of fame as well, including the Rock’N Roll Hall of Fame, The Toy Hall of Fame and the Inventors Hall of Fame. These are the places where legendary stars in their own careers are recognized and honored.
There is also a Business Hall of Fame.
The Business Hall of Fame was conceived by members of Junior Achievement and was created to recognize companies for their exceptional leadership. It was started in 1975 and is known as the U.S. Business Hall of Fame. No new members were inducted from 2009 until 2019, when JA Worldwide resurrected the idea and was renamed the Global Business Hall of Fame.
While the US Business Hall of Fame has a presence at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, the Global Business Hall of Fame is a virtual one, existing at BusinessHallofFame.org. To date, 270 laureates have been inducted into the Global Business Hall of Fame. More details on the inductees can be found by visiting their website.
